Together, we’re pioneering the solutions of the future and unlocking the full potential of precious resources. Trusted to act on initiative, we challenge conventional thinking to develop world-leading technologies that inspire progress in vital areas, including energy, food, water, and shipping.

As we push forward, the innovative, open spirit that fuels our 140-year-old start-up culture and rapid growth also drives our personal growth. So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.

About the Job

As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be the highest level of technical support for our global Sales Companies, Key Channel Partners, and customers, helping solve complex technical challenges related to pumps, valves, cleaning, and mixing equipment within the food, dairy, personal care, and pharma industries. In this highly dynamic role, you will combine hands-on troubleshooting, customer interaction, and technical expertise while collaborating closely with colleagues across R&D, Production, Product Management, and Supply Chain to deliver fast, high-quality support and drive continuous improvement.

Your main responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues remotely and onsite for customers worldwide
  • Handle advanced technical queries and support claim resolution activities
  • Support selection, sizing, and configuration of engineered products using technical tools
  • Participate in customer meetings and provide specialist-level technical guidance
  • Coordinate closely with R&D, Production, Product Management, Distribution Centers, and internal support teams
  • Build strong internal and external networks to ensure efficient problem-solving and customer support
  • Contribute to continuous improvements and knowledge sharing across the organization

At Alfa Laval, we embrace a hybrid work model, providing you the flexibility to work from home when it aligns with your tasks. This position is at our Kolding office, with an expected travel commitment of approximately 30 – 50 days per year.

What You Know

  • Educational background within Dairy Technology, Food Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering (Maskin Mester), or similar.
  • Experience from the food, dairy, pharma, personal care, or process industry is required
  • Technical understanding of process equipment such as pumps, valves, cleaning, and mixing systems is an advantage
  • Hands-on experience with commissioning, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, or design of process plants
  • Ability to build strong networks and collaborate across global teams and stakeholders
  • Experience supporting customers or technical teams at a regional or global level is considered an advantage
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken
  • Passion for technical troubleshooting and problem-solving with the customers need in mind

About You

You are curious, proactive, and motivated by solving technical challenges, with a strong desire to continuously learn and develop. With a customer-centric mindset, you naturally focus on understanding customer needs and delivering solutions that exceed expectations. You take ownership of your tasks, work independently when needed, and collaborate effectively across teams and functions to achieve strong results. At the same time, you quickly identify the core of complex problems, stay focused on what matters most, and contribute positively to a supportive and knowledge-sharing team environment.

What’s in it for you

Join a highly skilled and customer-focused technical team where collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning are part of everyday life. In this dynamic global role, you’ll work at the center of technical problem-solving — connecting designers, developers, production, and field teams to create real impact for customers worldwide. You’ll have the freedom and flexibility to manage your own work while growing your career through training, workshops, and hands-on international experience. No two days are the same, and every challenge is an opportunity to learn something new. Beyond the work itself, you’ll become part of a supportive and social global community where we celebrate successes, learn from each other, and enjoy the journey together.
