About the role

The Refinery Industry is on a journey towards transitioning their assets to a more sustainable future.  Within the green transition an exciting time is ahead of us that you will be part of. As Refinery Application Engineer, you'll be a key contributor in the sales process from lead generation to order in close collaboration with the dedicated Refinery sales team.

Key responsibilities for the role entail:

• support the sales team in developing the ultimate technical and commercial offers towards our clients, such as thermal design and equipment selection and application know-how

• interact with customers as technical experts, to promote our offers and generate leads

• arrange external customer seminars and take part in exhibitions and conferences

• develop and share application know-how within the organization, as well as conduct training of our sales force

• produce sales and marketing materials such as case stories and editorials

You will belong to the Refinery Application Team, where you will promote the wider range of welded heat exchange solutions primarily towards the Refinery and Renewable Fuels Industry. You report to the Refinery Application Team Manager. The position requires a minimum of 30-50 travel days per year.

You're a technical person that enjoys technical challenges while also having a commercial interest. Driven by success, you have the business acumen and determination to set strategies that seize these opportunities. Networking comes naturally to you, and your strong communication skills enhance your ability to connect with others.

What you know

You have a degree in chemical engineering or similar. Experience in technical business development and heat transfer/thermal design is an advantage. A background in the Refining Industry is an asset but not a prerequisite. Your strategic approach, curiosity to take on new challenges, and your interest in technical sales development will be valuable additions to our team.
