About the job
We work to deliver exceptional customer experiences and reliable operational performance. As a Customer Experience Intern, you’ll play an essential role in supporting our standard order fulfillment process, gaining meaningful exposure to logistics, customer communication, finance, planning, and cross‑functional operations across our global industrial organization.
This is a hands‑on internship for students eager to build real‑world business, analytical, and communication skills while making a tangible impact. In this role, you will support the full lifecycle of standard orders, from order acceptance through invoicing. You’ll help coordinate equipment needs, monitor costs, track shipping activities, and ensure customers receive timely, accurate updates. You’ll also partner closely with internal teams in warehousing, service, sales, and finance to help keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently.
This is a hybrid opportunity based in Richmond, VA.
As a part of the team, you will:
Support the end‑to‑end process for Standard Orders, from receipt to invoice.
Assist with order fulfillment, equipment and parts coordination, and basic technical follow‑up needs.
Monitor order progress, cost updates, and delivery timelines.
Assist with documentation for warehousing, order shipping, and invoicing.
Communicate order status updates and delivery information to customers.
Provide responsive support to internal and external stakeholders throughout the order lifecycle.
Help maintain backlog and Work‑In‑Progress (WIP) accuracy.
Assist with claim intake and basic claim documentation.
Support internal teams with data collection and reporting related to open orders.
Work closely with operations, logistics, order administration, and finance teams.
Participate in continuous improvement activities within the order management process.
What you know:
Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field and have:
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Interest in order management, customer service, or supply chain operations.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
A proactive attitude with willingness to learn and ask questions.
