About the job 

 

As a Team Lead, you will coordinate and support the daily work. Overview of the order/task situation, focusing on containment and corrective actions during order/task execution time frame. Team Leader is not a manager.  

 

This position is in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. 

 

 

As a part of the team, you will:  

  • Coordinate and support the daily work of the team/shift  

  • Monitor processes and performance in the team/shift  

  • Be a link between the team, support functions and TM   

  • Develop and have good knowledge of the key processes and tools within the cell  

  • Close competence gaps by training/coaching and running SOP audit dialogues  

  • Control of quality, deviations and line stops together with TM  

  • Focus on waste elimination and improvements  

  • Drive meetings within cell (shift handover, cell meeting)  

  • Conduct daily work as a team member  

  • Make and follow up detailed plan for the cell  

  • When needed support team members with immediate problem solving

What you know: 

 

High school diploma or GED preferred with relevant experience, and: 

  • 1 year of experience from Alfa Laval production/manufacturing/distribution   

  • Training skills. 

  • Office computer skills. 

  • Good knowledge of SOPs and processes within the team  

  • Basic math skills including the ability to read a tape measure and calipers required. 

  • Demonstrated ability to read blueprints required. 

  • Forklift operation certification preferred. 

  • Overhead crane experience preferred. 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Attributes Desired in Candidate: 

  • Able to coordinate   

  • Have leadership ability            

  • Able to motivate people     

  • Have high integrity 

      

 

Physical and Environmental Factors: 

Physical Requirements (lifting, climbing, standing, equipment use): 

  • Regularly exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally; 30 lbs of force frequently 

  • Stand or walk for 80% of the workday 

  • Required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment. 

Environmental Factors (hazardous materials, work location, work surfaces, exposure): 

  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment: steel toe boots, safety glasses, and ear plugs 

  • Exposure to various weather conditions cold or hot, wet/humid conditions, and loud noise levels.  No climate-controlled environment. 

  • Work near hazards: moving machinery, vehicles, electrical currents, and chemicals 

  • Encounter atmospheric conditions: fumes, dust, gases, odors, and poor ventilation 

  • Operate in confined spaces such as narrow aisles or passageway 

  • Communicate effectively through speech and hearing
