Every day, we get opportunities to make a positive impact – on our colleagues, partners, customers, and society. Together, we’re pioneering the solutions of the future and unlocking the full potential of precious resources. Trusted to act on initiative, we challenge conventional thinking to develop world-leading technologies that inspire progress in vital areas, including energy, food, water, and shipping.

As we push forward, the innovative, open spirit that fuels our 140-year-old start-up culture and rapid growth also drives our personal growth. So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.

About the job

We are looking for a commercially strong and market-oriented Portfolio Manager to strengthen our Hygienic Pumps business across Southern and Eastern Europe, South America, Africa and the Middle East. In this role, you combine active market engagement with regional portfolio responsibility, driving product launches and commercial enablement based on real customer and market insights. You will engage with end-users, EPCs and key stakeholders to understand investment drivers and specification dynamics and translate these into clear portfolio priorities and focused market positioning. While the role does not carry direct sales targets, it plays a key role in shaping how we compete and how effectively we position our solutions in project-driven markets.

Key responsibilities

  • Engage with end-users, EPCs and key stakeholders to understand investment drivers, specifications and market dynamics

  • Translate market insights into clear portfolio priorities and competitive positioning

  • Maintain close alignment with regional sales and channel organizations to ensure relevance and impact

  • Identify and prioritize key projects and strategic accounts to focus portfolio and commercial efforts

  • Contribute to portfolio development by assessing customer value, business potential and competitive landscape

  • Own and drive product launches, ensuring strong positioning and effective activation across regions

  • Develop and support sales enablement tools that enable value-based, customer-oriented dialogue

  • Strengthening commercial positioning by translating technical features into clear customer value propositions

At Alfa Laval, we embrace a hybrid work model, providing you the flexibility to work from home when it aligns with your tasks. This position is at our Kolding office, with an expected travel commitment of approximately 40 – 60 days per year.

What you know

  • You bring experience from an international B2B environment working with technical products or solutions, ideally within project-driven industries such as Food & Pharma

  • Your background includes areas such as strategic sales, key account management, business development, or portfolio management, with strong exposure to customers and market dynamics

  • You understand how technical performance influences investment decisions and specifications, and you are comfortable engaging with technical stakeholders while maintaining a clear commercial perspective

  • You combine solid commercial judgment with a structured and analytical approach, enabling you to translate product capabilities into market insights and actionable priorities

Who you are

  • You are motivated by shaping positioning and focus in complex markets, and you are comfortable working across regions and influencing stakeholders without formal authority

  • You demonstrate strong stakeholder awareness and organizational understanding, enabling you to effectively collaborate with and align regional and local sales organizations

  • You take ownership and drive initiatives forward, balancing strategic thinking with a pragmatic, hands-on approach

  • You are equally comfortable in a plant environment discussing hygienic applications as in strategic dialogues on market positioning and growth opportunities

What’s in it for you

You will join a global organization with strong technical expertise and a collaborative culture, where you can have meaningful influence on future offerings, regional positioning, and how we prioritize strategic opportunities in the market. You will work in an international, open, and supportive environment where collaboration and knowledge-sharing are part of everyday work.

This is a role where you can both contribute and shape important solutions, while having the space to think creatively and make an impact. We believe diverse perspectives strengthen decision-making and encourage candidates from different backgrounds and experiences to apply.
