About the job
As a Project Engineer, you are not just a team member, you are a key contributor to our success. You actively share your knowledge with the team, taking the lead in transferring applied knowledge and ensuring high standards. Your technical consultation during the tender and execution phase is integral to the success of our Air Lubrication projects, driving efficiency and quality and proposing innovative solutions.
- As a Project Engineer, you will work closely with the project manager to organize and execute the engineering activities for appointed projects. This includes the specification of components and instruments, a crucial aspect of the project that requires your technical expertise and attention to detail.
- Clarifying process strategy and requirements with BID owner and customer.
- As a Project Engineer, you will coordinate and deliver the installation project according to technical/functional specifications within budget and planned time. This role is crucial in ensuring the successful implementation of our projects, and your contribution is integral to our team's efforts.
- Participating in external customers meetings to discuss/clarify issues and engineering activities.
- Participating in commissioning & performance tests and assisting in troubleshooting.
- Providing optimal design and provision of detailed information to the bid team.
- Implemented change control for all changes that originate from within Alfa Laval or are caused by other project stakeholders such as clients, providers, and contractors.
- Technical inspection of designs, documents, and drawings.
Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in Maritime/Naval or Mechanical Engineering.
- 3-5 years of related experience, specifically in Marine applications.
- Proven ability to solve problems creatively and anticipate project issues promptly.
- Excellent analytical and integrative skills.
- You like the challenging work of working in a multi-disciplinary team in an international environment.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Be flexible, like being responsible from concept until commissioning and delivery, and have good communication skills to explain your choices.

Where you will work: Our OceanGlide office is in Rotterdam Science Tower but is part of the Alfa Laval Heat and Gas business unit with the Main Office in Aalborg, Denmark. The position will require travel approximately 20 to 30 days/year
