As part of Alfa Laval’s digital transformation, we see the increased focus on getting information on product level to better fulfill our customer needs.

The Product value stream focus on delivering product information to our customers by providing the foundation through our product information systems and distributing further in different channels. The value stream also ensures our sales force, customers and partners have the right tools to configure and select the products based on their needs.

To contribute to this transformational change, we are looking for a System Developer to join our Product Configurators Team!

About the job

As a System Developer you will be working closely with our technical teams and the business stakeholders to develop solutions. You will also participate in analysis, design, test, deploy and support of the solutions.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

• Proficient in C# and .NET applications: Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining applications using C# and the .NET framework, including migrating applications to different framework versions.
• Pipeline Management: Skilled in working with CI/CD pipelines, including migrating Jenkins jobs to Azure.
• Adaptability: Ability to switch between and adopt various technologies and tasks as required by the team.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps (AZDO) Suite: Experience with the Azure DevOps suite, including its tools and services.
• Possess strong knowledge on IT landscape and integrations where Product VS is operating.
• Able to switch and deliver between multiple applications as per the need of the team/value stream.
• Supporting and maintaining our solutions, take part in daily operations.

It would be ideal if you have:

• Experience in developing and maintaining applications in C++. Knowledge of scripting languages such as JScript, Perl, Python, and Bash.
• Have AZ900 or equivalent certification.
• Working in an agile environment according to SAFE methodology.

What you know

You have bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (computer science) or similar with interest in software development. We believe you have at least 2-3 years’ experience working with product development or software development. You have an interest in and understanding of the technical domain, combined with a functional and business-oriented understanding. As an individual, you enjoy learning new things and growing in the field. Excellent communication skills and fluency in business English are a must for this role.
