Let’s meet Divya

Q&A with Divya

What is your educational background?

I studied Bachelors in Engineering (Computer Science) and then went on to do an MBA in Human Resources. I found the intertwining of Technology and Human Studies fascinating. Moreover I always had the knack for understanding technologies but felt unequipped to follow that direction due to my inclination towards the people part. I found the perfect combination and today I use my education to find the people working in technologies and to get them onboard the company culture.

Why did you choose to join Alfa Laval?

It was a stroke of luck! I was working in Denmark but living in Sweden. Post-Covid and post-kids my priorities changed. I wanted something Swedish, and it was a familiar name in the Nordic market, known to hire kind, process-oriented people and a different industry! Plus I heard strong recommendations from my network who were alumni!

Tell us about your role here at Alfa Laval?

There’s not a single boring day here! As a Talent Acquisition Partner, my role encompasses both Sweden and Denmark and since we sit at the heart of where the business is, in Lund, we feel the pulse in recruitments everyday. Whether it is talking about challenging managers with D&I in Talent Acquisition revamping our jobs, filling an offer, sitting with HR business partners to discuss candidate development, being part of global Talent Acquisition projects or having key account responsibilities of for certain business areas, I have been in the lifecycle of it and so much more!

Tell us about the culture and life at Alfa Laval?

The culture is great. Less hierarchy, democratic, open and free to reach anyone in the business. Work-life balance is very steady with an ability to set your boundaries and your path for development.

What role does innovation play in your function?

Innovation is key as a TAP. Whether it is brainstorming for key ideas on a candidate experience project, coming up with new solutions on a offer, or D&I initiatives or networking meets, we do it everyday more than once!

How important is collaboration to you and your work?

Very vital. Its always a team win and we are measured by that. We set goals at team and individual levels. However even when recruiting for the best people, it is the simple collaboration between us and the business that is key.

How do you see Alfa Laval pioneering positive impact, and how are you contributing to this?

Positive impact is a no brainer when it comes to Alfa Laval. Through fostering collaboration and positive impact we recruit, develop and cater to people´s goals and also support a culture of openness and transparency. In these troubled times, what sets us apart from the rest is the postivity we bring to the table and the hopes we bring to the world with our endeavours.
