Who you are

You are comfortable working in a regional and fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities, and collaborating with different stakeholders. You identify opportunities for improvement and are motivated by making processes more accurate, efficient, and automated.

About the job

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Analyst to support our regional payment operations across Colombia, Panama, and Mexico. In this role, you will help ensure the accurate and timely execution of payment cycles, account reconciliations, supplier support, financial reporting, and banking activities.

You will work closely with the Accounting and Treasury teams, suppliers, and banking institutions to maintain accurate Accounts Payable records and support month-end closing and audit activities.

Key responsibilities

  • Execute regional payment cycles by preparing payment proposals in the ERP and uploading them to banking platforms for final approval.
  • Monitor daily automatic payment transactions and ensure their successful and timely execution.
  • Reconcile vendor and intercompany accounts, investigate discrepancies and outstanding balances, and perform continuous account clean-up to maintain accurate AP and General Ledger records.
  • Act as the main point of contact for suppliers regarding account statements, payment confirmations, refunds, and other payment-related inquiries.
  • Support Accounting teams during month-end closing activities and financial audits.
  • Prepare monthly Accounts Payable reports, including aging analyses, cash-flow reports, and other ad hoc financial information.
  • Perform administrative procedures and coordinate directly with banking institutions when required.
  • Maintain and update vendor master data and relevant tax information.
  • Act as a key user in the implementation, optimization, and automation of Accounts Payable and Treasury processes across the region.
  • Contribute to the automation of payment processes in Mexico and to broader regional continuous-improvement initiatives.

What you know

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least three years of proven experience in Accounts Payable, payment management, or a similar finance role.
  • Strong knowledge of payment cycles, vendor and intercompany account reconciliations, month-end closing activities, and Accounts Payable reporting.
  • Advanced experience working with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of the tax and accounting requirements applicable to payments in Colombia, Panama, and/or Mexico.
  • Experience participating in process-automation or continuous-improvement initiatives.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to interact effectively with suppliers, internal teams, and banking institutions.
  • Advanced English is required.

What’s in it for you?

You will also have the opportunity to continue developing your career within a global organization.
