Role – Application Management Specialist - Security & Compliance

Who are we looking for

We are seeking an Application Management Specialist with a strong focus on Security & Compliance to join our Application Management team. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach to implementing, managing, and securing enterprise-level applications (Finance Functional Knowledge (AP/AR/GL)), ensuring they align with organizational needs and industry best practices, strong technical expertise in programming and database management (SQL/Oracle) and have basic knowledge of Microsoft Power BI data preparation and data warehousing projects supporting the reporting financial performance.

Requirements and Responsibilities

What we need:

• Strong technical expertise in software development, programming, and database management.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to train users effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Implementation and Configuration:
  • Implement and configure software applications related to Finance processes to meet organizational needs, ensuring compatibility with existing systems and security protocols.
• Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
  • Proactively troubleshoot and resolve application issues, including bugs and integration problems.
  • Perform regular maintenance and updates to ensure applications remain efficient and secure.
• Collaboration and Feedback:
  • Collaborate with software developers and engineers to provide feedback on application performance.
  • Suggest necessary adjustments or enhancements based on user feedback and performance data.
• Data Analysis and Customization:
  • Analyze data generated by applications to aid decision-making processes and support customization based on user feedback.
  • Document all processes related to application maintenance and troubleshooting for future reference and compliance.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Power BI data preparation and data warehousing projects supporting the reporting financial performance.
• Security Implementation and Monitoring:
  • Implement and monitor security measures to protect applications and data, ensuring adherence to security protocols.
  • Provide technical advice on security issues, risks, and vulnerabilities, actively working to maintain application security.
  • Analyze security data from audits, risk assessments, and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Coordinate remediation efforts to address identified security issues and track the progress of remediation activities.
• User Access Management:
  • Collaborate with IT Product Teams to define and manage user access policies, ensuring compliance with security standards.
• Disaster Recovery Planning:
  • Assist in developing and maintaining disaster recovery plans, ensuring application resilience and data integrity.

Good to have:

• Familiarity with ITIL principles related to incident, problem, change, and configuration management.
• Basic understanding of security concepts, including penetration testing and vulnerability assessment.
• Knowledge of infrastructure components, networking, and Active Directory is preferred.
