Who you are

We are looking for an Product Manager – Group Affairs to join our Data, Analytics & Corporate Functions Value Stream. In this role, you will be the strategic liaison between IT and the Group Affairs function (consisting of Legal, Patent, Risk Management, Internal Controls and Internal Audit), ensuring that technology solutions not only meet operational needs but also drive organizational transformation and growth.

You bring a strong background in IT and IT security, complemented by understanding of enterprise functions like Legal, Patent, Risk Management, Internal Controls and Internal Audit. Your ability to manage diverse stakeholders and vendors, coupled with hands-on project management, will be crucial in orchestrating seamless technology implementations.

About the job

As the Product Manager – Group Affairs, you will shape the vision, roadmap, and execution of technology initiatives to enable Alfa Laval’s Group Affairs department. Your primary focus will be on driving the selection and implementation of solutions around Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), insurance management, group policy management, and AI-based Legal support tools.

You will also collaborate with the organization to roll out an ITIL/SAFe-based Service Delivery Model and champion security & compliance initiatives for the products and services under your ownership. By partnering with cross-functional teams, you will create a technology landscape that enhances operational efficiency, mitigates risks, and aligns with evolving business needs.

Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Vision

  • Define and maintain the product strategy, vision, and roadmap for Group Affairs solutions, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals.

  • Stay at the forefront of industry best practices and emerging technologies (including AI) to identify opportunities that deliver significant business impact.

  • Champion security and compliance, embedding robust security measures and policies into the product roadmap.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate legal, compliance, and policy requirements into actionable technical solutions.

  • Liaise between IT and the Group Affairs teams, ensuring clarity of requirements and fostering strong partnerships.

  • Facilitate alignment with other IT teams (e.g., infrastructure, security, and enterprise architecture) to maintain a cohesive technology ecosystem.

Product Development & Delivery

  • Oversee product lifecycles from ideation to deployment, managing priorities, scope, and timelines in line with ITIL/SAFe standards.

  • Partner with development teams and external vendors to ensure solutions are built to specification, on time, and within budget.

  • Implement and evolve AI-based legal support tools, GRC solutions, and insurance & group policy management tools, tracking performance against key metrics.

Stakeholder Management & Communication

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Group Affairs solutions, effectively communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Lead vendor and partner management, negotiating contracts and service-level agreements while ensuring high-quality deliverables.

  • Foster a culture of transparency, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and opportunities to leadership and key stakeholders.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, or similar role, ideally involving solutions for governance, risk, compliance, or similar domains, supported by relevant certifications (e.g. SAFe PO/PM certification)

  • Background in IT security and familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR).

  • Proven track record of successfully leading complex, cross-functional projects in an agile environment (Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe).

  • Demonstrable vendor management skills, including contract negotiation and performance monitoring.

Skills

  • Technical Acumen: Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, security practices, and enterprise applications, with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.

  • Business Liaison: Adept at bridging the gap between IT and Group Affairs, ensuring technology initiatives deliver measurable business value.

  • Project & Vendor Management: Strong planning, coordination, and negotiation skills, able to effectively manage both internal teams and external partners.

  • AI Knowledge: Familiarity with AI-driven tools and their application for legal, compliance, or patent management use cases.

  • ITIL/SAFe Proficiency: Experience working with ITIL or SAFe methodologies, with a track record of driving process improvements.

  • Communication & Collaboration: Exceptional presentation and influencing skills, capable of guiding diverse stakeholders to consensus.

  • Security & Compliance Mindset: Keen awareness of regulatory and security requirements, ensuring solutions adhere to enterprise standards.

  • Continuous Improvement: Commitment to staying updated on emerging technologies and best practices in product ownership, IT security, and compliance.

The position should be based in Kraków (Poland) or Lund (Sweden).
