Background
Alfa Laval is facing a bright future and the ambitious growth targets for 2030 are relying on digitalization in all pillars of the strategy. The company is going through a major digital transformation. In Group Digital, we secure the strategic direction and lead the implementation of this change. In our organization, the Sales & Service Value Stream, we are responsible for Alfa Laval´s digital solutions supporting end-2-end processes including awareness-lead-quote-order-service execution.

About the job
Now we are looking for a junior Release Train Engineer for our value stream, to work within the value stream and secure collaboration with our colleagues within Group Digital.

The demands from the business are high and the prioritizations are challenging. You will work together with our Senior Release Train Engineer and also be responsible for your own areas. You will be part of a large value stream with experienced people and teams working closely with the Product Management and Business Stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have experience from big complex organizations and sales and service solutions. With your skills in change management and agile ways of working you will be able to coach the teams and stakeholders to secure flow and remove impediments.

Responsibilities
The role and challenges align with the definition of Release Train Engineer according to SAFe, and hence the responsibilities include:

  • Agile & Lean knowledge: understanding of SAFe and other Agile methodologies.
  • Coaching & Facilitation: servant leadership, mentoring and performance coaching.
  • Organizational Collaboration & Change: drive transformation within the ART and across the organization with other RTEs.
  • Flow Optimization and Continuous improvement: secure transparency, identify bottlenecks and delays.
  • Technical & Delivery Practices: secure best practices are used within relevant areas.
  • Continuous Learning: learning mindset, staying current with agile trends, community engagement.

Who you are
We see a team player who can communicate with teams, architects, product management and business stakeholders. You are an engaged person with great collaboration skills, and you have attention to flow and efficiency.

You are structured and driven, with the ability to see the big picture, self-motivated with the ability to effectively prioritize, take initiative, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Developing yourself as well as your colleagues comes naturally to you.

What you know

  • 5+ years proven experience as a Scrum Master or other agile roles in IT.
  • Strong knowledge about some of the agile frameworks, for example scrum and SAFe.
  • Technical background is a plus, with a good understanding of software development.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills. Full English proficiency is a must.
  • Strong coaching and collaboration skills.
  • Experience from backlog management and metrics, specifically Microsoft Azure DevOps is a plus.
