About the job
As our new Data Analytics Lead you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of data analytics and AI/ML solutions on our in-house IoT platform. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Collaborate with multiple business units within the marine, food & water, and energy divisions to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and build new API integrations to support continuing increases in data volume and complexity.
Apply statistical analysis and AI/machine learning techniques to solve complex business problems.
Ensure data quality and integrity across various data sources (Alfa Laval mechanical products).
Provide business insights and recommendations based on data analysis for potential new revenue streams.
Mentor and guide data scientists and analysts in the team.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in data analytics and AI/ML.
About you
You possess strong business acumen and the ability to provide valuable business insights. Your excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail ensure high-quality outcomes. You have strong communication and leadership skills, enabling you to effectively guide and collaborate with your team. You thrive in a growing and collaborative environment and are adept at working within a software development team that is part of a mechanical engineering company.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
Proven experience in data analytics, machine learning, and AI.
Proficiency in programming languages like Python, R, and SQL.
Strong understanding of machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch).
Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
As part of a global organization, speaking and writing English is a prerequisite.
