About the job

As our new Data Analytics Lead you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of data analytics and AI/ML solutions on our in-house IoT platform. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Collaborate with multiple business units within the marine, food & water, and energy divisions to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and build new API integrations to support continuing increases in data volume and complexity.

• Apply statistical analysis and AI/machine learning techniques to solve complex business problems.

• Ensure data quality and integrity across various data sources (Alfa Laval mechanical products).

• Provide business insights and recommendations based on data analysis for potential new revenue streams.

• Mentor and guide data scientists and analysts in the team.

• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in data analytics and AI/ML.

About you

You possess strong business acumen and the ability to provide valuable business insights. Your excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail ensure high-quality outcomes. You have strong communication and leadership skills, enabling you to effectively guide and collaborate with your team. You thrive in a growing and collaborative environment and are adept at working within a software development team that is part of a mechanical engineering company.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.

• Proven experience in data analytics, machine learning, and AI.

• Proficiency in programming languages like Python, R, and SQL.

• Strong understanding of machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch).

• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar.

As part of a global organization, speaking and writing English is a prerequisite.
