Every day, we get opportunities to make a positive impact – on our colleagues, partners, customers, and society. Together, we’re pioneering the solutions of the future and unlocking the full potential of precious resources. Trusted to act on initiative, we challenge conventional thinking to develop world-leading technologies that inspire progress in vital areas, including energy, food, water, and shipping.

As we push forward, the innovative, open spirit that fuels our 140-year-old start-up culture and rapid growth also drives our personal growth. So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.

About the job

We are now looking for a Product Designer to join us. In this role, you will be part of our global team, responsible for designing intuitive, impactful, and delightful user experiences for our digital and automation products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to create user-centered solutions that drive value for our customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Evolve our HMI (Human-Machine Interface) applications for Alfa Lava products.

  • Designing user-friendly interfaces for automation products and IoT.

  • Producing wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs using industry-standard tools (e.g., Figma).

  • Iterating on design solutions based on user feedback and usability testing.

  • Collaborating closely with product owners, developers, and engineers to ensure seamless integration of design and functionality.

  • Supporting design strategy and contributing to the development and maintenance of design systems.

  • Participating in user research and usability testing to inform design decisions.

  • Staying up to date with UI/UX trends, tools, and best practices.

  • Actively developing both technical and soft skills, with a strong focus on collaboration, feedback, and continuous learning.

Who are you

You are a self-motivated and versatile designer with a strong interest in creating pioneering, user-centered solutions. You are creative, empathetic, and have strong problem-solving skills. You are comfortable working in a cross-cultural and cross-disciplinary environment. You are open-minded, a team player, and have a high level of attention to detail.

What you know

We believe you have:

  • A university degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Human-Computer Interaction, UX/UI Design, or a related field.

  • 5+ years working with design systems or UI/UX for complex applications (industrial/HMI is a plus).

  • Strong Figma skills (component libraries, system structuring).

  • Solid understanding of usability/accessibility (colour contrast, touch interfaces, WCAG).

  • Experience collaborating with developers using UI toolkits.

  • Proactive, communicative, and comfortable working in cross-functional teams.

  • Familiarity with industrial UI standards is a plus (ISA, or similar).
