Jennifer Roos
Team Manager PLAN, Alfa Laval's Factory in Lund, Sweden
My name is Jennifer I’m 29 years old and I live in Lund. I am passionate about horses, so a lot of my spare times goes into taking care of my horse and monthly show-jumping competitions. Since one month back I’m working as Team Manager Plan at the Global Core Component (GCC) Factory.
I read Mechanical engineering at Lund University before going on to complete a Masters in Logistics and Supply Chain management as a postgraduate.
In short, it is great! We are a large, global company so there are many opportunities to grow and learn. My curiosity and need for self-leadership are always supported, which makes me feel in control of my own tasks and projects to reflect my own interest. I even recently got nominated to participate in Alfa Laval’s Challenger program to accelerate my leadership capabilities for future growth in Alfa Laval.
I also love working for a company that respects the environment. It feels great to come to work every day for a company that isn’t just worried about their own footprint, but one that is actively helping other do the same.
I am working in a diverse team, with colleagues in Sweden, China, and India all working across the supply chain.

Team Manager PLAN, Alfa Laval's Factory in Lund, Sweden
Well, the last few years have been quite demanding when it comes to planning. But, if I have to pick one of our biggest challenges, it would be managing material availability during this global geopolitical situation and growth.
With-in planning we are working with a variety of different tasks everything from daily issues and opportunities to more strategic processes changes. On top of that, I recently got the opportunity to go to Japan and help them implement their Supply Planning (a part of S&OP). That was great because it meant that I could meet colleagues my in Japan and support them based on my own experience. I also work a lot with long-term plans. For example, our capacity isn’t able to meet our current demand over the next 6 months. I get to work on how we can close the gap (e.g., pre-produce stock, increase the capacity in the factory, or get support from our production sites in India and China). On top of that, I’m also driving a lot of projects regarding how to improve our processes within the factory.
I participated in Alfa Laval’s Talent program while I was still studying my masters, and really enjoyed my time here. I liked the open culture and supportive colleagues. If you have any problems, you can always rely on your colleagues for help. So, when I got the opportunity to work as the Local Master Planner and continue working at Alfa Laval, I did not hesitate to apply. I have grown so much since then and I am still happy about my choice.
