Meet William! 

Tell us something about yourself and
your role here at Alfa Laval? 

My name is Willliam and I’m an assembler at the PHE LA Small site in our Lund factory. 

What is your educational background? 

As a senior in high school, I read the Social Science program at a handball gymnasium.  

What is it like to work at Alfa Laval?

It’s always interesting to work here. We constantly rotate, so there is a good variation between tasks, and I always know who to ask if I have questions.  

What does your team look like?

I work in a team of around 12-13 people where I am the youngest.

What would you say is the biggest challenge 
in your team?

The deadlines are quite tight, which can be challenging. But when we receive our material on time and there are no hiccups, everything works fine. 

What problems do you get to solve
in your line of work?

We do everything in a continuous flow, first putting the gaskets on, testing the pressure of the heat exchangers, and then wrapping the products. If something doesn’t work, we need to troubleshoot and fix it. 

Why did you choose Alfa Laval?

One of my schoolmates gave me the tip to apply as a summer worker because he worked here. I ended up getting the job during the summer and then continued. I really like working at Alfa Lava because it gives me the opportunity to train with my handball team as well. I play elite-level handball in my spare time, and it's great that I get the chance to continue doing that while working here.
