Are you a technical professional passionate about creating sustainable solutions that make a difference? We’re seeking an Application Engineer for our Hygienic Heat Transfer product portfolio where you will engage directly with customers, making a tangible impact on the Dairy, Food & Beverage, Brewery, Pharmaceutical, and Personal Care industries in reducing energy, water, and waste.
This role partners closely with our sales team to provide equipment design, sizing and proposals, in addition to technical direction and recommendations on heat transfer applications. You will have direct involvement in all aspects of the sales process including pricing, documentation and drawing packages and working through commercial terms.
This is a hybrid role based in Kenosha, WI.
As a part of the team, you will:
Foster strong connections with Channel Partners and Customers in key markets such as Dairy, Food & Beverage, Brewery, Pharmaceutical, and Personal Care industries, serving as their trusted advisor for heat transfer solutions.
Review specifications, discuss application details, and select, size, and propose equipment solutions using Alfa Laval’s proprietary software tools.
Create comprehensive, competitive proposals that include technical specifications, pricing, documentation, and equipment drawings while adhering to bid and customer deadlines.
Provide technical support throughout the sales cycle, including post-sales clarification and documentation to facilitate understanding of the proposed equipment solutions.
Deliver engaging training sessions for Channel Partners and Customers, enhancing their understanding of Alfa Laval’s products, processes, and procedures.
What you know:
You have a bachelor's degree in engineering, preference for chemical or mechanical engineering, or equivalent work experience, and:
3+ years of experience in hygienic or industrial markets, preferably in heat transfer applications
Hands-on experience with equipment sizing, selection, and design. Familiarity with heat transfer equipment is a significant advantage.
Prior experience working with customers in industries such as Dairy, Food & Beverage, Brewery, Pharmaceutical, and Personal Care is highly desirable.
Proven ability to evaluate and prioritize opportunities while managing schedules and deadlines.
Strong mechanical aptitude with expertise in reviewing technical specifications and drawings.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and the ability to quickly learn and apply software tools for equipment sizing and selection.
Ability to travel – estimated 10%

We rely on market indicators to determine compensation and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to get it right. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location. The base salary for this role is typically $85,000 – $110,000.
