About the Job
The team consists of four design and calculation engineers and mainly supports our project managers/order handlers in customer order-specific issues regarding calculations, design and drawings for plate heat exchangers.
In this role you will work closely with both internal and external customers to provide efficient, high-quality support. End customers are mainly in the oil & gas and process industry segments, but also in marine & diesel, food and nuclear power. You will be responsible for evaluating proposed load scenarios as well as performing order-specific pressure vessel calculations, fatigue and structure calculations with different design codes, e.g. EN13445 or ASME. In your scope of responsibilities you will also create general arrangement drawings.
Component design is required in cases where standard components cannot be used. You will also be involved in the work with continuous improvements of our methods and tools.
Who you are
As a person, you are proactive, independent, thorough and responsible. You enjoy working alone as well as in a team and you are driven by delivering good results with short delivery times.
What you know
You have an engineering degree and at least 4 years of experience in designing pressure vessels, preferably from a similar role in the oil, gas, nuclear or process industries. You are an experienced user of CAD as well as FEM with at least 3 years of experience. You speak fluent Swedish and have good knowledge of English. If you also know French, it is an advantage.
What’s in it for you
We offer a challenging position in a global, open, and friendly environment. Your work will have a true impact on Alfa Laval’s future success. The nature of the job also means that you will cooperate closely with many different parts of our organization, building both a broad business knowledge as well as a global network of colleagues.
