About the job…
In this role, the Project Manager will plan and run transformational projects/programs with major impact on technology, organization/people, footprint structures, and processes to optimize process performance. Support the business unit and product groups to improve efficiencies to ensure customer value by improving safety, quality, delivery, and cost in a fast-paced and high energy environment. This position will manage large projects, with medium to high complexity or business impact, in accordance with Alfa Laval’s project methodology to reach desired outcome.
This is an onsite position located in Greenwood, IN.
Responsibilities include:
Provides mechanical maintenance on gasketed plate heat exchangers (GPHE).
Startup and shut down equipment in accordance with company and customer safety procedure in line with OSHA requirements.
Prepares expense reports and written service reports for work performed on each job no later than two weeks of job completion.
Create job time and expense reports, Concur expense reports, and payroll reports required for all Field Service team members.
Obtain Signed Time Summary sheets from the customer upon completion of job.
What you know:
High school diploma.
Two years hands-on, mechanical experience that includes solid mechanical skills and technical aptitude.
Ability to communicate to the customers the Operational and Safety parameters for Alfa Laval equipment.
Capable of working in a team as well as handling individual responsibilities.
Must have basic PC utilization skills for word, excel.
Ability to learn and use systems required for the administration of service and expense reports.
Capable of lifting 65 pounds and perform tasks requiring physical strength (climbing, sit, kneel or stand for extended periods, equipment/tool use).
Perform jobs in line with OHSA requirements.
Complete established safety training programs.
Capable of handling exposure to heat, cold, noise, various type of facility, and levels of cleanliness.
Requires the ability to drive a company vehicle and have a valid driver’s license.
Proficiency with towing a trailer is desired. DOT Medical Certification a plus but not required.
Must be able to wear a safety respirator, as needed. (Clean shaven, if necessary, when job requires it).
Travel required is 75-85%.
