About the role

As Field Sales Engineer, you will play a key role in helping customers in the marine industry find the right solutions from our comprehensive product and service portfolio. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and concluding direct sales of Alfa Laval products and services within your defined area of responsibility. You’ll act independently, take on additional responsibilities, and play a key role in strengthening our customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

  • Follow established sales processes and guidelines to promote and sell Alfa Laval products and services.
  • Analyze market insights and customer buying behaviors to create sales plans aligned with division strategy and targets.
  • Manage and convert leads into real business opportunities to secure a strong sales pipeline.
  • Actively engage in customer visits, meetings, and interactions, building trust by understanding customer needs and highlighting the value of our solutions.
  • Manage customer relationships through proactive planning, using sales tools effectively to ensure commercial success.
  • Develop competitive, profitable quotes that reflect customer needs and emphasize Alfa Laval’s unique selling points, securing a high hit-rate.
  • Use CRM and other sales tools consistently and accurately to support data-driven decision making.
  • Work proactively and systematically to optimize sales efficiency.

What we are looking for

You are commercially driven, curious about technology, and enjoy solving challenges for customers. Being confident working independently, you also thrive in team-based collaboration. You bring:
 

  • A commercial mindset with good analytical and digital skills.
  • A proactive, solution-oriented approach and excellent communication skills.
  • Proven experience in B2B field sales, preferably from the Marine industry.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain customer relationships at different organizational levels.
  • Solid understanding of market analysis, sales planning, and opportunity management.
  • Experience using CRM systems and sales tools.
  • Fluency in English and one Scandinavian language.
