About The Job
In this role, you will take charge of the technology function, leading, developing and inspiring the membrane R&D team of 6 highly skilled members and driving innovation and excellence. Your focus will be on developing, evaluating, and implementing new products and technologies that not only enhance company profitability but also elevate product quality and customer satisfaction. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of our offerings, ensuring they align with both business goals and customer needs. Key responsibilities include:
Lead the work to develop new concepts as a base for product development that contributes to new values for the customer or for Alfa Laval.
Lead the application development work to evaluate new business opportunities.
Secure knowledge and continuous development of the Technology Core Competence functions.
Actively Participating in the Membrane Management team.
At Alfa Laval, we embrace a hybrid work model, providing you the flexibility to work from home when it aligns with your tasks. This position is based at our site in Nakskov, Denmark, with an expected travel commitment of approximately 10 - 20 days per year.
What You Know
We expect you to have a Ph.D. or Master of Chemical Engineering, with +10 years of practical experience working in the membrane industry. You have proven track record in management and people leadership, preferably from R&D or product management positions. You bring deep technical knowledge of membrane technology, with a strong preference for expertise in polymer membranes (though experience with ceramic membranes is also valuable). Your background includes practical applications of this expertise in the Food, Water, or Pharma industries, giving you the insights needed to tackle complex challenges and contribute to innovative solutions.
