Alfa Laval is looking for a qualified People Development & Talent Management
Manager for the cluster India to provide high quality support in People Development &
Talent Management. Considering the disruptions in the market because of VUCA, we
need a qualified People Development Manager who will work closely with the business
managers and leaders to identify the future skills and competence gaps, design the
learning plans, and implement to make the workforce ready for the future. His/her role
is to facilitate the learning culture in the organization. The role needs to work towards
organisational interventions in the space of talent development.
This role has a clear and strong focus on Technical & Functional learning.

Our ideal candidates should have solid experience in Learning & development,
designing the learning & career paths, and executing those with the support of HRBPs
in respective business units.
Sometimes we´ll have the need for external partnerships when it comes to upskilling
and reskilling, where you´ll act as speaking partner, as well as maintaining budgets and
relationships with vendors and consultants. This of-course includes sourcing and
recommending vendors and other external partners to design, develop, and/or deliver
learning solutions where applicable.

Purpose:
• Support and inspire management by proactively driving organizational, leadership
and competence development to stay competitive/attractive on the people side to
create better customer experience.
• The role works closely with HRBPs, Business Leaders in the cluster to improve
business outcomes through People Development initiatives and strategy in alignment
with business needs.
Requisite:
Strong understanding of people development practises, products, technologies,
application is key. Should be able to work in complex and matrix organization.
In this role, you will be an active member of the India HR Leadership team as well as part of
the Alfa Laval global learning and development Centre of Expertise community.
Global L&D community responsibilities:
• Be part of the team that conceptualize, co-creates, leverages, develop and manage
the Alfa Laval faculties and adapt for local needs.
• Be part of the team which sets the strategic ambition, agenda and framework to
design, deliver and assess the impact of training and development initiatives
imparted.
• Implement various learning methods company-wide [coaching, job-shadowing, online
training]
Detailed responsibilities:
· Drive Technical / Functional learning across all business units of Alfa Laval, India.
· Conduct competency profiling across the organisational units and develop learning
plans with key focus on functional / technical / application trainings.
· Work closely with HRBP’s in India for implementation of Learning & Talent strategy.
· Leverage global solutions and where needed conceptualise, build, develop and lead
Learning initiatives to deliver business needs in India Field Service Academy, IPA
Academy etc.
· Identification of training needs through different tools and align with the business
leaders.
· Facilitate the designing and developing course curriculum for different courses with
support from course owners.
· Create the academy catalogue, yearly, quarterly and monthly development plans
and calendars and execute those plans as per the granular plans, Implement global
people development initiatives in India.
· Contribute and create learning paths for different roles and build the competence
directory for different job roles.
· Integrate talent development initiatives for cross pollination of the talent in different
functions, and business areas in India.
· Conduct assessment and development centers for hi-potential employees.
· Contribute to inclusion and diversity initiatives.
· Support in organizational development initiatives.
· Accountable for the learning portal and about me page for development, update the
courses, registration of courses, registration of employees etc.
· Build a dashboard of Learning and Development KPIs to be followed
· Define the Career Development and Career Management initiatives for India along with
HR Business Partners.
The incumbent will be the management team member of HR in India.
Work Place & Reporting :
The position is located at India Customer Center at Dapodi, Pune. The position reports to the Vice
President HR - Alfa Laval India and works closely with the Global VP Talent Management and
People Development and the Centre of Expertise communities.
Interactions level:
Internal:
Cluster President, Managing Director, HRBPs in the countries of responsibility, TA team,
Business Managers, Unit Managers, Peers - locally or globally, etc.
External:
Training agencies, trainers, talent assesors, consultants, professional bodies, universities
etc.
Personal Background :
• 10-15 years of relevant experience in People Development and talent management in
large Indian and MNCs with high focus on trainings.
• Previous experience using technology platforms to automate and optimize L&D
processes
• Relevant experience in Technical / Product / Sales Training or Capability
Development, preferably in a B2B engineering or industrial organization.
• BE in Mechanical / Instrumentation / Electrical. MBA in Human Resources will be an added advantage.
Physical & Environmental Factors
Office environment with frequent attendance on the shop floor. Safety equipment required when present on the shop floor – footwear, hearing, eyewear.
Environmental Factors (hazardous materials, work location, work surfaces, exposure).
