About the job:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Manager – Prepared Food & Beverage Business to lead the execution of capital projects from bid phase through final delivery. This role is responsible for managing all technical, contractual, and logistical aspects of projects, ensuring that deliverables are met on time, within budget, and in line with customer requirements. The ideal candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with sales, engineering, supply chain, and customers to drive project success and continuous improvement. As part of the team, you will be:
Providing Bid Phase / Quotation support
Reviewing technical specifications to gain understanding of contract requirements
Managing contract order process, processes and procedures for FEL2, FEL3, and Detailed Design
Delivery of Food Systems Projects
Performing order clarification during sales/operations handover meetings Leading/participating internal kick-off meeting with project team, conducting other project meetings and setting milestones
Leading project members to meet the project schedule
Ensuring that drawings and calculations fulfill customer requirements Monitoring progress of activities and time spent by resources and budget in the project utilizing PROMIS and ERP systems
Leading project members to produce project deliverables and documentation necessary to meet customer requirements and schedule
Planning and coordinating internal and external material orders with the supply and logistics teams
Managing changes and deviation where necessary (evaluation of risks)
Coordinating meetings with customers and customer inspectors
Assisting with continuous improvement activities for all processes, procedures and systems; Evaluating projects at the closing of the project
Following internal process and working instructions of local procedure
Working closely with sales to ensure project financial targets are met and identify opportunities to enhance profits on projects
Managing currency contracts (amounts, timing, etc.) for managed projects Maintaining order backlog and margin reports within the financial reporting tools
Coordinating claim activities through the claim support system
Developing strong working relationships with customers and sales channel
Traveling, up to 30% to resolve site issues or meet with customers for kick-off meetings/progress/commissioning as-needed
What you know:
You have a bachelor's degree or a foreign equivalent in Engineering management, Chemical Engineering or Food Engineering, and:
2 years of experience in project engineering utilizing PROMIS and BPCS or MOVEX ERP system for food and beverage processing and packaging machines in the food system industry.
Ability to travel 30% in North America to resolve site issues and support project globally if needed.
