About the job
As a key contributor to our Service Sales Team, you will play a vital role in driving direct sales growth of Alfa Laval plate heat exchanger services across the Central region within Commercial Buildings, Medical Centers, Universities and Data Centers to name a few. Your efforts will help expand our Service footprint, while delivering sustainable solutions that enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
You’ll report to the Business Development Manager – HVAC Service and collaborate closely with Capital Sales, Advanced Technical Services, Service Centers, Field Service, Americas Distribution Center, Demand Generation, and Customer Service teams.
This is an office-based role located in either Kenosha, WI or Greenwood, IN, with approximately 60% travel required for customer visits, field service support, training sessions, and participation in industry events.
As a part of the team, you will:
Develop and execute strategic sales plans for target accounts within the HVAC & Data Center markets
Identify new business opportunities and grow service sales for plate heat exchangers
Engage directly with customers through visits, meetings, and consultations to understand their needs and communicate the value of our offerings
Collaborate with service operations to ensure a seamless and superior customer experience
Perform energy savings evaluations using Alfa Laval tools to support customer sustainability goals
Own the full sales cycle—from prospecting and quoting to negotiation, order placement, and service execution
Support marketing initiatives in partnership with the Demand Generation team
Utilize CRM and other digital tools consistently to drive informed decisions and maintain pipeline visibility
What you know:
You have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business (preferred), and:
3–5 years of proven experience in HVAC service, projects, or parts sales
Strong Knowledge of HVAC systems, including cooling towers and chillers
A successful track record of building and expanding customer relationships
Experience with aftermarket or distributor sales models is a plus
Mechanical aptitude and hands-on familiarity with industrial equipment
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM platforms
Willingness to travel up to 60% for customer visits, field service support, training, and industry events

What’s in it for you?
At Alfa Laval, we carefully consider a wide range of factors to determine your total compensation package. We rely on market indicators and consider your specific job, background, skills, and experience to get it right. The base salary for this role is typically $75,000 to $95,000.
