About the job
We are seeking a highly motivated Student Assistant to join our R&D Technology department in Alfa Laval Aalborg. In this role, you will collaborate closely with a team of experienced engineers.
Your responsibilities will include:
Collecting data from existing performance reports, tests, and laboratory results.
Handling and structuring data to ensure traceability and maintain the quality of both existing and future data.
Analyzing data by applying engineering principles to interpret results, identify trends, and detect outliers.
Verifying numerical models, such as CFD simulations and thermal calculations, by comparing actual data to simulations.
Supporting mechanical and thermal calculations, including the creation of simple CAD models and/or performing ad-hoc engineering calculations.
The tasks and responsibilities will be tailored to align with your skills, educational background, and professional interests. This approach ensures that you gain relevant experience while contributing to meaningful R&D projects.
About you
You are a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a passion for technology and innovation. Your curiosity drives you to explore new ideas and solutions, and you thrive in collaborative environments. You are adaptable and resilient, able to handle challenges with a positive attitude. You have a strong desire to learn and stay updated with the latest technological advancements.
Required Qualifications:
Currently studying a Bachelor’s- or Master’s degree in energy-, chemical- or mechanical engineering or a related field. Ideally, you should be in at least your 5th semester.
Demonstrated interest in data analysis, as well as mechanical, process, and/or thermal engineering.
Proficiency in programming and coding with experience using tools such as Python, Matlab, or similar tools.
Preferred Qualifications
Extensive experience in programming is advantageous, but this is not a requirement.
As part of a global organization, speaking and writing English are prerequisites.
We anticipate the start date to be September 1st, following the summer holiday.
