About the job
Join Alfa Laval as a Technical Sales Engineer, where you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering high-impact technical support to customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders. You’ll be the go-to expert for our advanced fluid handling technologies—including pumps, valves, tank mixing systems, membranes, and automation solutions. This role will collaborate closely with our Technical Support team to strengthen client relationships through fast, effective issue resolution and innovative, customer-focused solutions. From supporting product launches to participating in customer projects, this position will help ensure seamless integration and performance of our systems—reinforcing Alfa Laval’s reputation as a trusted technical partner in the industry. Currently, this is a hybrid opportunity located in Kenosha, WI.
As a part of the team, you will:
Collaborate with field sales teams and project stakeholders to provide technical expertise and drive customer engagement.
Participate in customer visits, meetings, and technical presentations to deliver tailored value propositions and strengthen long-term relationships.
Assist in preparing accurate, detailed quotations and solution proposals that align with customer needs and project requirements.
Lead technical support for specific product categories and contribute to successful product launches and promotional campaigns.
Offer expert input in areas such as rheology (including testing), metallurgy, and elastomers/polymers, and share knowledge across internal teams to elevate technical capabilities.
Work closely with sales, marketing, product development, and operations teams to deliver integrated, high-quality technical solutions.
Travel up to 25% to support sales efforts, field service activities, training sessions, trade shows, seminars, and company events.
What you know:
You have an associate degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline; Bachelor's degree is preferred, and:
Previous experience with CAD and providing technical problem solving.
Hands-on experience with fluid handling equipment such as pumps, valves, fittings, or heat exchangers is highly preferred.
Knowledge or experience with Rheology, Metallurgy, Elastomers/Polymers is a plus.
Strong PC skills including presentations, Excel, and CRM software.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple short-term tasks.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to synthesize technical information from multiple sources.
