About the job
Alfa Laval is a global brand with a huge presence worldwide. Here in the UK, the position is within the Food and Water Division, in a department responsible for project delivery, predominantly in Waste Water for thickening and dewatering applications. Alfa Laval’s role is to work with main contractors to install our in house manufactured equipment into a customer’s process. The scope of work can vary but mostly involves seeing a project move through: Design – Manufacture - Installation – Commissioning.
This role is a Business Placement year ( sandwich year summer '25- summer '26). The role will be based at our offices in Keele University where we have recently established a modern work setting to support the execution of our projects. The role will be to work alongside and support an already established project team. To learn and understand the fundamentals of project delivery in a structured environment as well as exposure to business to business operational functions.
As the year placement progresses the candidate will have the ability to grow and focus their own workload with a view of being able to execute a project autonomously.
Who are you?
You are an ambitious student who is motivated and keen to learn. You have a ‘can- do’ attitude and desire to learn new skills. You are mechanically minded with a good understanding of engineering principles and hold a keen interest in Project Management. You are confident in a team setting.

The candidate will be expected to travel to AL facilities and sites across the UK so ideally will hold a full UK driving license. The candidate will be office based at Keele University IC3.
