About the job

Our Indianapolis manufacturing facility is adding a 1st shift Team Leader to our lineup, and we’d like to hear from you. Lead a team of assemblers to ensure daily production goals are met. Drive resolution to questions or problems that arise.

Hours: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm Monday through Friday, plus overtime as required

As a part of the team, you will:

  • Review, plan, coordinate and support the daily work of the cell with continuous focus on our ALPS priorities – Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.  Produce direct work as needed.
  • Utilize TWI Job Instruction and Job Relations methodology to train and develop the team.  Ownership of Training Time Tables for the cell.  Write and audit JIB’s as required.
  • Serve as liaison between the cell, the support functions, and the Team Manager.
  • Participate in the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and perform SOP audit dialogues to ensure conformance to the standards and facilitate improvements.
  • Drive daily ALPS Performance Meetings and weekly Improvement Meetings in the cell. 
  • Participate in projects and initiatives in the operational plan.
  • Participate in all aspects of the Problem Resolution Process to help determine root cause of problems and create sustainable solutions.
  • Run the daily shift startup meeting.
  • Perform incoming material inspections.
  • Initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCR’s).
  • Process Return Material Authorization (RMA’s) and Material Return Authorization (MRA’s).
  • Investigate claims and support resolution.
