Together, we’re pioneering the solutions of the future and unlocking the full potential of precious resources. Trusted to act on initiative, we challenge conventional thinking to develop world-leading technologies that inspire progress in vital areas, including energy, food, water and shipping.

As we push forward, the innovative, open spirit that fuels our 140-year-old start-up culture and rapid growth also drives our personal growth. So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.

About the Role
As Business Development Project Leader for the Portfolio Unit (PU) for the Ocean Division, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the strategic growth agenda of the business. You will work closely with PU business leaders to identify, analyze, and accelerate high-value growth opportunities, leveraging market intelligence, financial analysis, and cross-business collaboration to turn insight into action. This is a dynamic role in a unit focused on Growth, Innovation, and Partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Growth & Business Development

  • Co-create business development plans with PU business leaders, identifying, analyzing, and evaluating the potential of new growth initiatives.
  • Build, own, and continuously track a priority opportunity funnel spanning multiple businesses within the PU.
  • Drive the implementation and follow-through of business development plans, ensuring accountability and adaptability as market conditions evolve.

Market & Competitive Intelligence

  • Integrate market, customer, competitor, and financial data into actionable intelligence that informs decision-making across PU organizations.
  • Conduct in-depth market studies in close alignment with PU Leaders.
  • Track and analyze market share performance for the Portfolio Unit, identifying trends and implications. Prepare and manage periodic competitor analyses.

Cross-Business Strategic Initiatives

  • Lead and drive high-value cross-business initiatives, including digital platforms, energy efficiency solutions, multiband/multi-service concepts, and strategic customer programs.
  • Act as a connector across businesses to ensure alignment, momentum, and measurable outcomes.

Who You Are

  • An experienced marketing or sales professional with a growth mindset, strong analytical skills, and strategic thinking.
  • Proven track record in creating and driving business plans, with a passion for growth, innovation, and sustainability.
  • Collaborative, skilled at stakeholder management, and comfortable working across complex, multi-business organizations.
  • Strong understanding of P&L drivers, market dynamics (especially marine), and competitive positioning.
  • Proficient in data management and visualization.
  • Energized by driving change and delivering measurable business results.

This role reports to the Portfolio Unit President for the Ocean Division and is a member of the Portfolio Unit’s management team.
