The position / About the Job:

We are looking for a proactive Shipping Specialist (Import & Export) who would be a key figure in supporting the financial function of a business.

Key Tasks and responsibilities:

• Thorough knowledge and Practical experience of Import Export Policy Procedures, compliance, rules, and regulations.
• Having working experience of commercial transactions business environment and internal external customer collaboration.
• Customs clearance, HS Classification and HS Code wise requirements such as SIMS, BIS, SCOMAT, export import related GST compliance.
• Export Invoice Generation, ERP Exports and Import documentations and co-ordinations.
• Liasioning with government officials such as Customs, DGFT and other agencies like CHA, Freight forwarders etc.
• Knowledge of International Logistics different mode and category of exports imports, Incoterms, Letter of credit transactions
• International logistics knowledge and experience of strategies efficient low-cost logistics . LCL, FCL, ODC, break bulk cargo movement and required skill of weight and volume calculation for optimum use of space both in sea and air shipments. Quick and proactive communication with CHA, FF, Customs etc.
• Policy procedure: HS classification and item wise compulsory clearance requirements. Customs procedures

Qualification & Skills  

• Any graduate, post-graduate or qualification in Foreign Trade would be an added advantage.
• Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Behavior’s Required for the Job)
• 5-6 years of experience in similar field
• Any graduate, post-graduation or qualification in Foreign Trade would be an added advantage.
• Knowledge, Technical Skills, and Nature of Experience
• Behavioral/Leadership Skills
• Good communication both in written and verbal.  Quick learner and able to handle pressure independently. Good team player, multitasking
• Self-motivated leadership qualities and independently able to handle import export end-to-end process. From Invoicing to EDPMS for export and from Pick up to IDPMS closure.
