Product & Application Engineer

About the Role

As a Product & Application Engineer, you will:

• Prepare quotes and proposals: Select, size, and configure hygienic fluid handling and heat transfer products; prepare technical and commercial proposals; hand over orders to the support team and follow post-order processes.
• Handle technical claims: Coordinate with regional and global teams to resolve customer issues promptly.
• Support partners and customers: Provide technical support, run virtual and in-person meetings, seminars, and webinars.
• Promote sustainability and innovation: Conduct optimization audits and support new product launches.
• Be active in the market: Champion product campaigns, train customers and channel partners on Alfa Laval products.

Your Profile

• Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (or similar)
• 1–3 years’ experience in hygienic fluid handling (pumps, valves, mixing, tank cleaning), heat transfer, or related equipment
• Knowledge of food, dairy, beverage, and pharma processes
• Strong relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills
• Ability to train and coach others on product and applications
• Comfortable using ERP, CRM, and digital tools
• Willingness to travel up to 25% locally and internationally
• Based in Melbourne
