Project System Engineer

Reducing harmful emissions is one of the biggest challenges today. At Alfa Laval Nijmegen BV we develop, sell, and produce equipment for maritime and industrial applications, to help our customers combat these emissions.

About the job

As a Project System Engineer you are the technical specialist within the Engineering Department, where you will be responsible for proposing the possible process realization with the belonging equipment selection and technically executing the project.

Your daily tasks are:

• Together with the sales group generate mass and energy balance, main equipment list, specification of equipment, P&ID´s & functional descriptions for appointed projects.
• In cooperation with the project manager and lead engineers organize and execute the process engineering activities for appointed projects incl. specification of components and instruments.
• Detailed design of the P&ID / Systems based on the Business Unit flow chart / general process design.
• Clarifying process strategy and requirements with BID owner and customer.
• Participating in external meetings with customers to discuss/clarify process issues and engineering activities.
• Participating in commissioning & performance tests and assist in troubleshooting.
• Providing optimal process design and provision of detailed information to the bid team.
• Acting as mentor or role model for less experienced Process engineers. Check the quality of their work and help them resolve problems.

Who you are

You have a technical background and enjoy working as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Our colleagues and customers are situated all over the world and this international environment appeals to you.

Further, you have:

• Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical / Chemical Engineering or comparable.
• At least some years relevant working experience, whereas process experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of P&ID's.
• Good knowledge of written and spoken English.
• You like the challenge to work in a multi-disciplinary team in an international environment.
• Curious, driven, stress resistant.
