As Regional Business Manager in Global Sales New building team, you will play a key role in driving profitable growth, strengthening customer relationships, and advancing our Marine solutions sales strategy across the Asia and rest of the world.
As Regional Business Manager, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
Drive and develop New Building business opportunities for the assigned product portfolio (Fresh Water Generators, PureSox, PureBilge, PureVent and PureNox), building strong long-term relationships with shipowners, shipyards and Sales Companies to support commercial success and revenue growth.
Develop strategic, tactical and/or operative business plans to position Alfa Laval and generate project leads in established as well as developing businesses, in close collaboration with the relevant Sales Companies and selling entities.
Drive customer strategies, roadmaps, actions and goals in line with business objectives and market opportunities, ensuring alignment with the relevant Sales Companies.
Conduct regular customer engagement and visits based on structured planning to strengthen relationships, understand customer needs, and identify new opportunities for new ship building projects.
Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, including reliable forecasting and clear order intake visibility for assigned portfolio or regions.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records, including customer visits, opportunities, account plans, and related sales activities.
Lead the development of customer solutions and support the preparation of commercial proposals, supported by a clear and quantified value proposition addressing customer needs, technical scope and commercial considerations, in coordination with the relevant Sales Company or selling entity.
Collaborate closely with Sales Companies and internal functions, including sales engineering, product management and relevant colleagues, to ensure commercial alignment, technical feasibility and seamless execution.
Drive and coordinate sales development activities for global or cross-country customers, working together with the relevant Sales Companies, and ensure a smooth handover of agreed scope and key risks to execution teams.
Collect and communicate market intelligence, customer insights, and competitor activity to support commercial strategy and decision-making.
Contribute to new build order intake and support Alfa Laval's full-cycle Marine solutions' business strategy across the customer lifecycle.
You will report to Global sales manager new building in the Business Unit Marine Solutions.
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in the marine industry, with a solid understanding of customer-facing commercial roles with shipyards or shipowners.
A strong customer focus, with the ability to understand customer needs and translate them into commercial opportunities.
A proactive and results-driven commercial mindset, supported by strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
Strong planning and matrix organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail.
Strong listening and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and respond effectively to customer and business needs.
A self-driven, adaptable, and continuous learning approach, with openness to change and new ways of working.
Good knowledge of marine products and solutions, with confidence in using Microsoft Office, digital collaboration tools, and ONECRM systems.
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering preferred
Fluent level in written and spoken English
