About the job

As an integral member of our manufacturing operations, you will play a pivotal role in leading and supervising the assembly of complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. You will have the opportunity to drive safety, quality, delivery, and productivity on the shop floor while supporting continuous improvement and team development. This is an onsite role located in Houston – Greenspoint, requiring a strong hands-on leadership presence within the production environment.

As a part of the team, you will:

  • Supervise and support assembly team members to ensure products and sub‑assemblies are built to engineering drawings, tolerances, quality standards, and planned labor hours
  • Coordinate daily production activities in alignment with the master schedule, including collaboration with materials, order handling, engineering, and purchasing
  • Promote safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives while sustaining Alfa Laval’s 5S culture and standardized work practices
  • Provide feedback and recommendations related to staffing, training, process improvements, cost savings, and product quality
  • Support troubleshooting of warranty, field service, and customer issues, and collaborate cross‑functionally to prevent recurrence
  • Assist in the development of standard operating procedures and support training and development of team members

What you know:

You have a high school diploma or equivalent with extensive hands‑on experience, or an associate degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, and:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical equipment assembly (or 5 years with an applicable associate degree)
  • Experience working from engineering drawings and specifications
  • Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic assemblies in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Experience leading or supervising shop‑floor teams
  • You demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and quality, leading by example on the shop floor while maintaining a high level of attention to detail. You communicate clearly and collaborate effectively across teams, building trust and accountability through reliability and punctuality. You are self‑motivated and take ownership of your work, consistently applying sound judgment to solve problems and drive continuous improvement. With a team‑oriented mindset, you motivate others, adapt to changing priorities, and contribute positively to a productive, respectful, and results‑focused work environment.
