About the job
Tasks:
• Analysis of project specifications to prepare time estimates, cost of materials, list and timing of manufacturing activities (internal and external)
• Mechanical calculation of pressure parts according to international calculation codes (ASME, PED, AD2000, etc.)
• Analysis of actual costs versus bids for acquired projects to optimize them for future bids
• Consultation with customers, suppliers, staff in other departments to discuss and formulate estimates with the aim of pursuing continuous improvement on costs and deliveries, also by critically analyzing historical data.
• Interface with the Purchasing Office to always have an updated list of suppliers and contractors.
• Conducting activities to establish the company's cost standard for manufacturing activities.
• Participation in project definition meetings at the client's and order opening meetings
• Reports and analyzes relevant to cost estimation.
• Preparation of the technical offer complete with deviations and/or clarifications to the project specifications
What you know
• Preferred nature: Short/specialist degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical/Aerospace, Energy engineering
• At least 8 years' experience in costing pressure equipment in general, but at least 5 years' experience in Shell & Tube heat exchangers for specific Oil&Gas applications.
• In-depth knowledge of the mechanical calculation of pressure components according to international calculation codes including ASME.
• Knowledge of the technical specifications of materials for pressure services (ASME II and equivalent)
• Experience in evaluating pressure equipment construction cycles and related timing.
• Knowledge of mechanical drawing and CAD drawing
• English language at least professional level
• Ability to structure work in an orderly manner and in coordination with other stakeholders
• Problem-solving orientation
• Orientation towards achieving objectives Preferential character for skills relating to equipment for Ammonia, Urea, Ethylene, Methanol, Hydrogen, Power plants
• Preferred for skills relating to high pressure fire tube boilers.
• Having gained similar experience in companies in the sector also in foreign countries is preferential.
• Basic knowledge of quality management system, ISO 9001, , ISO 14001, ISO 45001
