About the role
You will be a part of the Material Technology & Chemistry team composed of specialists, lab technicians and a lab engineer within R&D. The projects that you will work on will have a real impact connected to sustainability, working in a team with high level of expertise in a very interesting environment where you will contribute to our innovation in new products and services.

Your network will be with several internal functions, such as R&D, central Sales and Service, Sales Companies, Sourcing, Production etc. In addition, you will have external contacts such as with our customers and suppliers.
Objective
In this role you will be an important player to create the best value for our heat exchanger customers. You will gain knowledge and be able to apply it and be responsible for technology evaluation, get involved in support to Sales companies and customers regarding chemistry related issues, perform analyses and convey conclusions to our internal stakeholders and development of new products and services,. You will also gain the competence of understanding customer applications to advise on maintaining cleanliness of their Alfa Laval heat exchangers.
Key Responsibilities
Give advice to Sales and Service on topics related to cleaning and other chemistry related issues for heat exchangers
Carry out bench tests and analyses for our customers
Explore and evaluate new technologies within fouling and cleaning of heat exchangers
What you know
If you are a developed Specialist/Senior Material Engineer, we would ask for a
Masters in Chemistry or Physical Chemistry with 3 years of experience in a relevant area.
If you are starting your career being a new graduate, we would ask for a Ph.D. in Chemistry or Physical Chemistry.
You possess English fluency both in speaking and writing and you are used to writing scientific reports. Good knowledge of physical, inorganic and surface chemistry, experience in using surface characterization techniques such as SEM and XRD, Chemical laboratory work and an analytical mindset.

You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, are a self-starter who is detail oriented. You enjoy learning and have a curiosity and interest in creative solutions.
Some travel may be required up to 20-30 days per year based on projects.
