About the Job

Our R&D department is a vital part of the Business Unit Gasketed Plate Heat Exchangers, which manages global sales and development of GPHE products. Within R&D, the Existing Product Development (EPD) team is dedicated to continuously improving our current product portfolio.

As we face exciting challenges in building a more sustainable and energy-efficient future, we are expanding our team. This role offers the opportunity to work on meaningful projects that directly contribute to global sustainability goals. The team operates from two main locations: Lund and Shanghai and combines a broad spectrum of design expertise for industrial and sanitary applications with a dynamic mix of younger and older members fostering diverse perspectives, balanced experience, and effective global collaboration.

Key responsibilities for this role entail:

  • Design & Development: Responsible for design work, adding new features, and implementing improvement suggestions.
  • Technical Calculations: Performs pressure vessel and structural calculations.
  • Technical Support: Provides support to Operations, Sales, R&D, and investigates claims.
  • Product data: Responsible for managing and updating technical product data to ensure quality and availability in our configuration system
  • Collaboration: Works cross-functionally with various departments to ensure effective solutions

This position is based in Lund, Sweden.

What you know

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably with a focus on product development or mechanics.
  • A structured and analytical mindset, with the ability to zoom in on details while keeping the bigger picture in view.
  • Strong project management and communication skills, with a collaborative and results-oriented approach.
  • Experience with 3D CAD, FEA, and PDM systems.
  • Experience working with codes and standards (e.g. EN13445 and ASME VIII) is a plus
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
