About The Job
You will have an active sales role towards your markets, where you utilize the combination of your commercial mindset and technical understanding to accelerate sales in a supporting way. You will become a part of the Alfa Laval aftersales business within Heat & Gas systems providing services and products for the Marine industry. You will have the sales responsibility for burner & control system upgrade and life extending services for marine boilers, and you will be included in an evolving industry, where each day varies from the day before. Your main task will be to scope the various upgrade and life extending services on vessels steam boilers with needed material, related service and prepare commercial offer for sales companies to present towards end customer. The sizes of the projects you will be handling can differ from a simple component upgrade or vessel inspection to scoping boilers requirement for upcoming dry docking or multiple vessels control system upgrade. In either case you will, based on needs and project type, receive technical support from your team colleagues or in-house support functions. To succeed in the position, you can turn leads and opportunities into competitive offers and through a commercial and customer focused mindset backed up with technical knowledge secure order intake. Further to this, you can structure and clearly communicate a well-organized handover of your project when it becomes an order. The position is based in Singapore and business travelling may occur.

Area sales and support responsible for the Alfa Laval Marine Boiler Burner & Upgrade business
Delivering lean and fast commercial and technical sales support to the Alfa Laval Sales Offices
Understand customer needs and convert these into business
Achieve sales growth and hit sales targets by successfully maintain, support and develop the business together with the external sales teams
Provide markets and customers with precise and value-based quotations
Follow up on open quotations and keep a close relationship with sales companies
What You Know
You are technical curious and possess a commercial mindset and ideally have experience working with technical sales, preferrable from the Marine Industry.
Could also be you have gained your work experience hands on from the engine room on sailing vessels, or from working within the marine industry with service jobs.
It is not a requirement, but it would be an advantage if you are familiar with marine boiler technologies.
You have good written and verbal communication skills in English, along with good understanding of Microsoft Office products.
You are a team player who take charge of your responsibilities, but still share and seek knowledge with colleagues.
