Lead and execute Alfa Laval’s IP protection and enforcement agenda in China, with a strong focus on trade secrets, information control at China sites, and proactive infringement detection and enforcement via administrative and judicial channels. Develop strategy, framework, polices, process and secure the implementation in Greater China Region together with an awareness program.
Scope & key responsibilities

Trade secrets & information control (China sites):
- Strengthen governance and controls for confidential information (access rights, need-to-know, segregation, retention).
- Partner with IT/Security/Operations to enhance monitoring and response (e.g., detecting abnormal downloading/exporting, investigations, incident handling).
- Drive corrective actions and embed learnings after incidents.

China IP enforcement strategy & operating model:
- Build and maintain a China IP enforcement strategy, framework and processes (case intake, triage, evidence handling, escalation, reporting/KPIs).
- Maintain and expand E-commerce platform monitoring, detection and take-down infringement.
- Develop and define how to work with MSA/AMR administrative enforcement proactively and efficiently when it comes to IP enforcement.

Proactive infringement hunting & follow-up:
- Lead ongoing online/offline infringement monitoring, prioritization, evidence collection and action plans.
- Drive cases from identification to closure and prevention of repeat infringement.
- Be able to investigate supply-chains of detected infringements, with the support of external counsel as needed.

External & internal network leadership:
- Manage external counsel/investigators and coordinate with MSA/AMR, police and courts (incl. Shanghai) when relevant.
- Act as the key cross-functional partner to Sales, Operations, R&D and global IP/legal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the global IP and Legal teams to drive cross-border investigations and best practices

Culture & capability building:
- Raise IP awareness and trade secret discipline through training, communications, and practical tools for the business.
- Support processes for capturing technical innovation occurring at the sites in China and foster a culture of awareness and practical know-how of the Alfa Laval invention and patent processes.

Key performance indicators (KPIs) – to be jointly set upon onboarding:
- Number of infringement cases identified, actioned, and closed per year, with repeat infringement rate tracked.
- Trade secret incident response time and closure rate for corrective actions.
- Implementation progress of information control frameworks at China sites (e.g., access control coverage, monitoring effectiveness).
- IP awareness training delivery volume, coverage rate, and post-training feedback.
