Alfa Laval is looking for Operational Buyer/Order Handler within Supply Chain Team MTO GCC for our Lund, Sweden location. This is a TEMPORARY position for a parental leave coverage for approximately 12 months.

About the job
Within the Purchasing part:
Based upon the input from the Purchasing Process and Supplier Forecast & Material Management and accordingly to the Replenishment Process, continuously secure the availability of material according to requirements from both internal and external customers.
• Place and communicate material requirement via Purchase orders to suppliers and handle deviations within placed purchase orders, secure delivery on time and follow up on delayed orders.
• Receive and register order confirmations from suppliers, handle and communicate deviations.
• Purchase items for stock and/or project orders including min/max settlement.
• Handle deviations in supplier invoice and potentially authorize supplier payment.
• Secure right data on item numbers in local ERP system.
• Focus and follow up on results related to strategic goals: SDOT, QA and cost.
• Support handshake process with idea generation.
Within the Order Handler part:
You have an important role and responsibility in our semi complex orders. You handle everything from quotation to assembly. Our products have a great range of applications where our goal is to deliver the right product with the right quality at the right time at the right cost.
You are in daily contact with many internal stakeholders at all levels or our organization, our Sales companies worldwide, warehouses and assembly, business units. Working with continuous improvement is something that is part of our service.
Who you are
You enjoy attention to details, taking an active part of our projects, collaborating with others to solve semi complex orders together. You are self-motivated, can prioritize and focus on a fast-paced environment, and enjoy working towards deadlines. We believe you are positive, enjoy learning, and are responsive and want to give our customers the best possible customer service.
What you know
Relevant education (bachelor / professional) or similar
Supply chain experience, knowledge, and improvements
Active involvement in problem solutions, capturing lessons learned
ERP Systems such as Jeeves or Microsoft Dynamics
Logistics processes, purchase processes
Lean, Six Sigma project methodology preferred
Swedish and English language proficiency both written and orally
