About the job

Join us as a Product Master Data Steward based in Kolding to oversee and manage cross-process and cross-organizational alignment of product data across design, manufacturing, sales configuration, purchase, sales, after-sales service, quality control, and logistics. This role will eventually be expanded to encompass global responsibility.

As a Product Master Data Steward, you will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor data in relevant systems to identify gaps
  • Secure alignment needed for desired master data quality.
  • Execution and coordination of related of improvement activities.
  • Ensure cross-process and cross-organizational alignment of Product Data across design, manufacturing, sales configuration, purchase, sales, after sales, quality, and logistics.
  • Own and manage processes and local data governance, including classification, data definition, and status management.
  • Drive guidance, training, and enforcement of data governance policies.

Key tasks:

  • Closure of gaps in master data quality.
  • Develop and maintain product master data standards and guidelines.
  • Align product master data processes with organizational goals.
  • Manage and maintain data governance processes, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and quality.
  • Develop, train and support stakeholders on data governance policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and report on product master data quality and process performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and the wider Alfa Laval master data management organization.
  • Prepare for future expansion of responsibilities to a global scale.

Core Competences:

  • Understanding of PLM, Configurator, and ERP systems and product master data management.
  • Strong competence in Excel and Power BI.
  • Excellent organizational and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Competence in data governance and data quality management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective communication and training abilities.
  • Ability to manage and drive change in a global, multi-site manufacturing environment.

This position is based in Kolding, with an expected travel requirement of around 10 days per year.

What you bring

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Information Systems or Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Experience in product data management and governance.

Experience in system implementation and/or system operation for medium to large organizations.

Worked in ERP system, preferable D365.
