Repair Inspector / Engineer - China

Who you are：

• Are you ready to be part of our international steel service repair team, with a focus on customer service and operational excellence?
• Alfa Laval China is seeking a skilled Supervisor to join our global repair team. This role is based in China, and you will become part of a motivated team specializing in inspections and supervision on boiler plants, scrubbers, and inert gas generators installed on commercial vessels. 

About the job:

• Your Challenges and Tasks
• As our new Supervisor, you will play a key role in attending the growing number of inspections from our customers in China. Your main responsibilities include:
• Performing inspections and generating detailed reports of our products.
• Supervising large-scale repairs, including managing local teams of boilermakers and welders at shipyards
• Assisting our engineering teams by presenting findings and solutions to on-site observations. 
• Collaborating with our teams to estimate time, material consumption, and optimal repair procedures, ensuring competitive and profitable quotations for customers

What you know:
Your Profile and Competences

• We are looking for an engineer with experience within steel fabrication and inspection. Knowledge about boiler making, welding, or similar professional with strong technical expertise in welding processes, ideally with knowledge of Alfa Laval Aalborg products. Good communication skills in English (spoken and written) are essential, as well as proficiency in using Microsoft 365 programs.
• On a personal level, we are seeking a structured, service-oriented, and quality-focused colleague who can build strong relationships with customers. The role requires flexibility, independence, resilience, and the ability to thrive in an active environment with significant travel activity within China.
