About The Job
This hybrid role is based in Bang Na, Bangkok and will play a pivotal role in ensuring we are harnessing sales, competitor, customer insights and market data from our +30 product categories across a diverse range of industries within Energy, Food and Water and Marine. You will work closely with the Strategic Marketing and cross-functional teams such as sales and data analytics to champion the collection and use of data gathered across the regions to build the strategy or decision making for our SEA and Oceania cluster.
Job Description
Design, plan and execute the marketing research in terms of wide and deep customer database effectively as per the business objective
Conduct market research on customers and related parties based on assigned industry and product application to scope business opportunities and strategic planning for Alfa Laval products and services.
Utilise market research data and set templates to execute the studies related to product applications, market size and identifying which end customers/contractor/consultant we need to be targeting for new or existing opportunities.
Preform pricing studies and product benchmarking based our business performance vs major competitors.
Provide advice for the key findings from each study and present the Business Unit the findings to improve the business and enhance the business success.
Conduct competitor analysis and market analysis for finding business opportunities for existing competitors and to proactively identify business opportunities and challenges for commercial sales team.
Conduct new sources of data to study business Trend so Business Units can utilize the findings from those trends to extend business operations effectively and successfully as per the company's vision and mission.
Manage external agencies for the execution and analysis plan of research projects - Adhoc
Perform other tasks as assigned
What You Know
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Engineering or a related field.
5+ years of experience in analytics and business intelligence within B2B organisation. Industrial industry are preferred and/or background in market research firm/agency is a bonus.
Possess experience in finding business opportunities and can provide business advice in GTM strategies
Exposed or experienced in data platforms such as Power BI, EMIS but not compulsory.
Demonstrate effective interpersonal communication skills, relationship building and presentation skills
Capable of simplifying complex data insights for non-technical stakeholders
Strong leadership skills with the ability to work autonomously and in a dynamic environment
Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with a focus on driving business value
