Alfa Laval is currently on digital transformation across our global operations. The Operations Development team empowers the business to achieve sustainable performance improvements and reach key goals. Central to this is the ALPS (Alfa Laval Production System), our management system built on Lean and Six Sigma philosophies, guiding how we work, solve problems, and continuously improve.

The ALPS Digital Platform is our global solution supporting ALPS development and deployment. It currently includes:

  • Digital Status Board (DSB): Streamlines daily management for teams across Factories, Business Units, Service, Sourcing, Sales, and shared functions.

  • Digital Project Portfolio Board (D-PPB): Enables efficient project portfolio management for Factories, Service Centers, Sales Companies, R&D, and Operations Development.

  • ALPS Digital Cockpit: Visualizes Power BI reports based on ALPS Digital Platform data.

About the Role

As the central System Support Specialist for the ALPS Digital Platform, you’ll play a key role in both support and development. You’ll ensure the platform’s service level and performance, working closely with the ALPS central team, key users, and super users worldwide. This is a unique, cross-functional position with stakeholders and colleagues spread across Europe, China, India, and the US.

Your main responsibilities:

Platform Development & Enhancement

  • Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards for ALPS Digital Cockpit.

  • Automate integrations and communication flows between ALPS Digital Platform and other systems.

  • Collaborate with the ALPS team to introduce new features and releases.

  • Escalate complex issues to the development team and contribute to continuous improvement.

Daily Support & Operations

  • Provide daily support to users, including handling and monitoring support tickets.

  • Set up and update Digital Status Boards.

  • Grant and guide local System Admins, enabling them to resolve issues locally.

  • Coordinate efforts to resolve challenging issues and communicate progress to users.

Governance & Training

  • Monitor system performance, data accuracy, and information security.

  • Ensure compliance with IT policies and safeguard data integrity.

  • Create and update training materials and deliver training/coaching, especially for new platform instances.

What You Know

Education: University degree.

Experience: Prior experience in system support, ideally in a production or industrial environment.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong Power BI and SQL skills (must-have).

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, DevOps, Azure integration tools.

  • Understanding of data flows, dashboards, and basic coding.

Methodologies:

  • Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma is a plus, but not mandatory—mindset and willingness to learn are key.

  • Experience with operations, production systems, IT infrastructure, and IT policies.

Languages: English required; other languages are a plus.
