Who you are:
- A Mission of a Team Manager is to spend 50% of the time in work environment (Gemba)
- Drive the team to meet the committed operational targets and to continuously improve the process.
- Support the team when hand overs are necessary to other teams within the organization and limit the conflicts between departments.
- Secure the team’s competence and performance development on a personal level at the same time developing adequate succession plan for key positions.
About the job:
- Participate / run SB performance and improvement meetings
- Follow up on plan vs actual, at least three times a day
- Approve SOP 1’s and 2’s and initiate and follow up on corrective actions
- Secure resources according to the plan
- Staff meeting with direct reports, to inform and provide/receive feedback
- Attend Claims board meetings if applicable
- Follow up KPI's
- Align and coach direct reports
- Drive continuous improvement in the team
- Personnel time management and expense reports review and approval
- Directly responsible for:
- For the Teams performance and development as it relates to the four priorities (Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost)
- Handle escalation of issues when necessary
- Performance development of direct reports
- Translating overall targets into an individual level for the Team Members
- Stop production within the Unit in case of safety / quality / environmental deviations
- Set salaries within given frame
What you know:
- Qualification: Relevant education, either BSc degree in a relevant field of study or 5+years of relevant experience
- Further requirements: ALPS Basic training, Green Belt training, SOP audit training, Train the Trainer, Leadership for new managers (provided by Alfa Laval)
- Skills: Preferred ERP experience. Fluent in written and spoken English. Leadership skills. Preferred lean background.
- Attitude: Team player and Structured. Sense of urgency with a customer focus. Willingness to learn. Able to challenge and motivate teams. Being able and willing to resolve conflicts. Lead by example (shadow of the leader)
- Motivation: Drive the team to exceed customer and management expectations at the same time developing and engaging individuals.
