About the job
As our new Lean Specialist, you will play a key role in driving the implementation of ALPS (Alfa Laval Performance System / Lean Management Programme) and Lean Six Sigma (LSS) across non-production functions within Business Unit Heat & Gas Systems.
Your core mission is to collaborate with the Business Unit management team to cultivate a culture of Continuous Improvement and Lean Six Sigma thinking in an office environment. You will manage the development of deployment plans for our ALPS/LSS roadmap, with a focus on improving business performance, developing people, and enhancing customer satisfaction. In addition to supporting the broader strategic agenda, you will also have the opportunity to lead your own Lean Six Sigma project(s).
Some of your main responsibilities involve:
Being a member of the Global ALPS/LSS Network and act as a communication bridge between the Business Unit and the ALPS Central Team in the Alfa Laval Group.
Supporting BU management in defining a strategic vision and implementation roadmap for ALPS/LSS, and translate it into concrete action plans.
Participating in ALPS/LSS Steering Committee meetings to present high-level status on ongoing activities within the roadmap.
Monitoring and driving LSS belt development (White, Yellow, Green and Black Belts) by ensuring a supportive environment for belt projects and providing coaching to belts/teams.
Planning and delivering annual ALPS/LSS training programs across non-productions functions in the Business Unit.
Conducting audits and follow-ups to ensure consistent and effective deployment of ALPS/LSS methodologies.
Serving as a role model and champion of the CI culture by actively promoting Lean thinking and encouraging engagement across the organization.

You are confident in communicating with stakeholders at all levels and translating technical insights into actionable strategies to support others in their ALPS/LSS development journey. Collaboration is at the heart of your work – you thrive in team environments and foster collective problem-solving.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in Lean Management, Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence or similar field.
Proven expertise in Lean tools and methodologies such as 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, Value Stream Mapping, and Root Cause Analysis.
Strong skills in coaching, mentoring, and training individuals and teams.
Solid understanding of change management principles and experience in supporting organizational change initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications:
Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and continuous improvement-related tools (e.g., Minitab, Visio, Power BI, etc.).
