About the job

This role sits at the intersection of engineering, sales, and product development. As a Student worker in Sales Engineer, you will be working together with the remaining Sales Engineering team in translating customer needs into technically viable solutions within our marine portfolio, ensuring the right product fit while balancing technical limitations, cost, and performance.

Apart from Sales Engineering you will work closely with Sales, R&D, Product Management, and Engineering & Supply, playing a key role in complex customer projects—sometimes assisting the technical dialogue, sometimes enabling it behind the scenes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the technical evaluation of customer requirements together with lead Sales Engineer and match them with Alfa Laval solutions within the Marine portfolio (e.g., Scrubbers, heat exchangers, E-Power Pack, etc.)
  • Support complex quotation processes, including calculations, technical specifications, and solution design
  • Participate in customer projects through internal meetings, presentations, and technical discussions
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, R&D, Product Management, and Engineering & Supply to define feasible and competitive solutions for specific sales projects
  • Use and further develop technical documentation, and internal processes
  • Contribute with latest knowledge and theories from University

Who are you

You are a structured and commercially aware engineer who is comfortable operating outside of a purely technical environment. You communicate clearly, challenge when needed, and are confident engaging with internal stakeholders. You combine attention to detail with a pragmatic mindset, and you are not afraid to ask something doesn’t make sense.

What you know

You bring a solid technical foundation with a eager to learn how the marine industry works.

We expect you to have:

  • Have a Bachelor degree in Engineering and is currently doing or will soon start on your Master’s in Mechanical Engineering or similar Master's.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with basic Mechanical, Fluid and/or Process engineering both theoretical and practical
  • Experience as student worker from similar position in the industrial work.
