About The Job

Managing and developing financial accounting function and assume a leadership role within an organization to make sure all financial accounting, cost accounting and reporting activities in various departments are performed according to the company's reporting protocols and procedures. Helping to build a reporting and accounting systems that comply with local laws, IFRS and company requirements. Business-partnering to the profitable growth of the sales company by streamlining and developing local finance/business processes.

Job Description

  • Manage all accounting (Financial and Cost Accounting) and Reporting activities

  • Manage and monitor the activities of the accountants

  • Book closing on monthly basis for two Scala entities (R1 and R3) - data quality and timeliness

  • Disbursement and Accounting for Payroll and coordination with local and regional HR to comply with the local labor laws

  • Apply and support to develop suitable workflows for sales and finance in close cooperation with Finance management

  • Keep the management up to date with new applicable legal requirements, rules and regulations in time and propose adequate action.

  • Manage the inventory control such as:

    • Work in progress (controlling function)

    • Point of contact for COGS (review with sales team)

    • Spare Parts Inventory control and management

  • Controlling of service invoicing, cost of sales, gross margin, order backlog

  • P3 (local service operation costing and control)

  • Prepare and execute financial and tax audits in close cooperation with the finance manager and the appointed audit firm.

  • Liaise and coordinate all relevant issues with the local banks.

  • Control of expense reports including company credit cards, telephone, mobile etc. (ownership of Concur system)

  • Maintaining and reviewing internal controls for financial operations

  • Ensure compliance with GST, Income Tax, and WHT regulations  quarterly and annual tax returns filing

  • GST related matters particularly related to queries relating to MES (Adhoc)

  • Ensure compliance with Transfer Pricing regulations

  • Liaison with external/statutory auditors to have audited financial statements according to statutory deadlines

What You Know

  • Accounting degree, preferably from ACCA, AICPA, CA, CIMA with 5 years post qualification experience

  • Exposure with external audits and practical knowledge of IFRS and Tax regulations.

  • Experience in Internal control framework and environment and business process setup and continuous development

  • Minimum three years of relevant industrial experience at a similar level.

  • Team-work attitude: above-average relationship building skills partnered with relevant business communication skills.

  • Integrity: deep-rooted professional, moral, and business-compliant conduct

  • Work-methodology: structured approach to tasks given with a solutions-oriented mindset.

  • Managerial skills: strong disciplinary skills coupled with the right amount of empathy

  • Leadership skills: positive impact on org and team, inspiring team members to perform at their best.
