We’re looking for
Alfa Laval are looking for an Area Sales Manager.
Every day, we get opportunities to make a positive impact – on our colleagues, partners, customers and society. Together, we’re pioneering the solutions of the future and unlocking the full potential of precious resources. Trusted to act on initiative, we challenge conventional thinking to develop world-leading technologies that inspire progress in vital areas, including energy, food, water and shipping.
As we push forward, the innovative, open spirit that fuels our 140-year-old start-up culture and rapid growth also drives our personal growth. So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.
Who you are
You are a self-driven and commercially skilled sales professional who thrives in a technical environment. You enjoy being close to customers, identifying opportunities, and developing long-term partnerships. You are comfortable working across both capital sales and aftersales, and you collaborate naturally across teams and borders. You are also willing to travel regularly within Sweden and Norway to support local colleagues and drive regional growth.
About the role
This is a field sales role based in Denmark out of either our Kolding or Soborg office, responsible for Alfa Laval’s solutions within municipal wastewater treatment and industrial wastewater applications. You will manage the full sales cycle—from identifying opportunities to closing capital sales and driving aftermarket growth through service offerings, upgrades, and spare parts.
In addition, you will have a Nordic business development responsibility, supporting sales colleagues in Sweden and Norway with market insights, opportunity development, and strategic initiatives aimed at accelerating growth in their municipal and industrial wastewater segments. This includes regular travel to both markets.
Key responsibilities
Drive capital sales of Alfa Laval's solutions to Danish municipalities and industrial customers.
Develop the aftermarket business through proactive sales of service agreements, upgrades, spare parts, and performance improvements.
Identify new opportunities through customer meetings, site visits, and strong presence in the Danish wastewater market.
Support Sweden and Norway with business development, including market insights, co-visits, opportunity qualification, and strategic planning.
Participate in relevant industry events, seminars, and exhibitions.
Manage your sales pipeline, forecasting, and sales activities in a structured and proactive way.
What you know
Demonstrated experience in technical B2B sales—ideally within water treatment, process equipment, environmental technologies, or similar industries.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to build trust and credibility with municipalities, engineers, operators, and industrial customers.
Fluency in Danish and English; Swedish or Norwegian language skills are a plus.
Relevant technical or commercial education is beneficial.
What’s in it for you?
You will join a global leader with a strong sustainability mission and a collaborative Nordic team. This role offers autonomy, strong market potential, and the opportunity to make a direct impact on wastewater solutions across the region. Your work contributes both to Alfa Laval’s growth and to solving important environmental challenges.
